 How to Further Admission Processes After Accepting Admission on JAMB CAPS

First of all,  let me say congratulations to you as part of the candidates that gain admission into higher institution this year, more than 40 percent of candidates that seek admission will be denied due to one reason or the other, but you been part of the admitted ones it is worth celebration.

Accepting Admission on JAMB CAPS is not the end of the admission processing into higher institutions, so with this post you will be provided with details on the further admission processing after been admitted on JAMB CAPS .

What is JAMB CAPS  Admission status?

It is very important for candidates to understand very well what JAMB CAPS Admission Status mean especially for candidates that are just seeking admission.

The JAMB CAPS Admission status is the status for candidates seeking admission into higher institution in Nigeria, it is the first Admission Status to notify of Admission his or her Admission stage.

Candidates are admitted and congratulated on the CAPS admission status are expected to accept or reject the offer, only candidates that accept the offer will be able to further their admission process in the main JAMB Portal.

 What Do I have to Do After Accepted Admission on JAMB CAPS?

After you have accepted admission on JAMB CAPS there are lot to do as part of admission processes on JAMB Portal and also on the school portal of which you are given admission.

On JAMB Portal, you will do the following:
It should be noted that all these below listed can only be done after admission have already been accepted on JAMB CAPS

1. Changing of Course: 

Candidates that are transferred from his or her original course to another course will have to do changing of course after the new course have been accepted on JAMB CAPS.
 

2. Print of JAMB Admission Letter

 All admitted candidate will have to print Admission Letter on JAMB Portal, the admission letter is of two copies which are
  • Jamb Admission to to presented to the school for final clearance (it is called Institution copy only)
  • JAMB Admission Letter for your own reference purpose (It is called Candidate Copy)
The first mentioned copy (i.e Institution Copy) is the one that you will use for fresher registration and final clearance in the institution you are admitted to and the second copy (Candidate copy) is for your own record purpose, also for future use.


3. Original JAMB Result: 

This is clearly different form JAMB Notification of Result printed when JAMB released result. The Original JAMB Result bear candidates photograph passport and and Institution, it is the require for school registration and clearance

4. School Registration and Clearance

Another important thing is that candidate is the school registration and clearance which will be done on the school portal and the school offices respectively.
All information need for registration and clearance will be provided for candidates on the school portal. But with this post, I will highlight for you all documents you will need for both registration and clearance.

Documents for Freshers Registration and Clearance.

Listed below are the possible needed documents for fresher’s registration and clearance, all may not be applicable to you depending on your institution.

  1. Admission Letter (Institution Copy)
  2. Origination JAMB Result
  3. Birth Cert if Age Declaration
  4. Local Government Identification (Also called Certificate if Origin)
  5. Guarantor and Reference Letter (as requested by institution)
  6. Medical Report (to be done at the school clinic)
  7. Acceptance Fee Receipt
  8. School Admission
