UNILORIN Admission GUIDE: UTME and SSCE Subjects required for  Biochem, Microbiology, Optometry. Plant Biology and Zoology

 


The Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Ilorin was established in the 1982/83 session and had its foundation Dean in the 1983/84 session.

As at the time of writing this post, the Faculty comprises of seven (7) Departments in the institution which are

  1.     Agricultural Economics and Farm Management
  2.     Agricultural Extension and Rural Development
  3.     Agronomy
  4.     Animal Production
  5.     Crop Protection
  6.     Home Economics and Food Science
  7.     Forest Resources Management

I know of a friend who chooses to study Geology in UNILORIN and choose Chemistry, Physic and Geography as subject combination for Jamb, the school eventually grants him the admission but when he starts the clearance he was not cleared, wondering what could be the problem, he went to the admission office to complain, then he was told the subject combination for Geology is English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, guess what happen?   "his admission for Geology was Terminated".

UTME, JAMB and O'level Subject Combination and requirements  for Biochemistry in UNILORIN

O'level subject combination for Biochemistry:  Five O’Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

JAMB Subject combination for  Biochemistry: English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics .

Direct Entry requirements for Biochemistry: 
UTME qualifications plus at least two A’ Level passes  or equivalent in Biology, Chemistry and Physics


UTME, JAMB and O'level Subject Combination and requirements  for Microbiology

O'level subject combination for Microbiology:  Five O’Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

JAMB Subject combination for  Microbiology: English Language  and any three science subjects from Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics

Direct Entry requirements for Microbiology: 
   
UTME qualifications plus a minimum of two A’ Level passes in Biology and Chemistry.


UTME, JAMB and O'level Subject Combination and requirements  for Optometry in UNILORIN

O'level subject combination for Optometry:  Five O’Level Credit passes at one sitting in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

JAMB Subject combination for  Optometry: English Language,   Biology , Chemistry and Physics

Direct Entry requirements for Optometry: 
   
UTME qualifications plus A’ Level passes in Biology, Chemistry and Physic
