ABSU is state University, Owned by the state Government of Abia, It is usual and Normal that state Universities in Nigeria are expensive, but I want to tell you that Abia State University is  expensive yet affordable even if you are not from a rich family


This post is to break down for you the school/tuition fee, acceptance fee, accommodation fee and other fee of the institution which is as follows:

Other Fees apart from the above listed 

1. Law students are to pay Legal Clinic fee of N 2,250 by ABSU MICROFINANCE BANK draft to the Faculty Finance Officer.
2. 400 - 600 level Medical students and all Science Students are to pay Practical Fee of N2,950 by ABSU MICROFINANCE BANK draft payable to the Faculty Finance Officer.
3. Students of Faculty of Agriculture to pay practical fee of N2,950 by ABSU MICROFINANCE BANK DRAFT payable to the Faculty Finance Officer
4. All Students of Vocational Education and Education Science students are to pay practical fee of N2,950 by ABSU MICROFINANCE BANK draft payable to the Faculty Finance Officer.
5. GST Carryover Students are to pay N 1,000 payable into ABSU MICROFINANCE BANK Miscellaneous Account.
6. Field Class/Trip for students of Faculty of Environmental; Studies of N1,000 is payable into ABSU MICROFINANCE BANK Miscellaneous Account.
7. French Language Students are to pay Professional fee of N2,500 by ABSU MICROFINANCE BANK draft to the Faculty Finance Officer.

Accommodation fee

Accommodation fee for all categories of students (per session) for a full bed space is N 30,000 and for a half bed space is N 15,000. THIS IS OPTIONAL.

All fees are payable by e-payment ONLY through any of the following banks:

Payment Deadline/Penalty for students

ANY FEES NOT PAID WITHIN THE FIRST FOUR (4) WEEKS OF ANY SEMESTER ATTRACTS A PENALTY OF N5,000 (FIVE THOUSAND NAIRA). FOLLOWING ESTABLISHED UNIVERSITY REGULATIONS, A FURTHER TWO (2) WEEKS MAY BE GRANTED, AFTER WHICH THE CANDIDATES STUDENTSHIP LAPSES.

Important Notice to students

1. All new students, in addition to tuition fee are to pay Acceptance fee, Accreditation fee and Development fee as indicated in each of the categories.
2. Course Registration should be completed online at the beginning of each semester.
