    Does UNIPORT Accept Second Choice Candidates?

    University of Portharcourt Consider only first choice candidates for admission into various programme/courses offered by the institution.

    Formally University of Portharcourt accept second choice candidates, but for recent years, the number of candidates choosing UNIPORT has increased.

    So, when obtaining JAMB UTME/DE form, you are required to choose UNIPORT as first choice if you want to be consider for admission by the institution.


    UNIPORT Admission Procedure for UTME/Direct Entry  Candidate

    Candidates who want to apply for UNIPORT Admission are to take the following steps/procedures 
    1. Candidates must obtain JAMB UTME/ Direct Entry form (as applicable) and choose UNIPORT as first choice of institution
    2. Candidates are required to obatain  UNIPORT POST UTME/DE form when it commence
    3. UTME Candidates will proceed to write POST UTME as scheduled by the Institution while Direct Entry Candidates are to Proceed to the Admissions Office to submit the documents - photocopy of JAMB Slip, Birth Certificate/Age Declaration, O’level Examination results (WASSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB), A’level/Diploma/NCE/JUPEB/IJMB and Degree Programme results, showing CGPA as applicable. Alternatively, the requested documents can be mailed by courier to: The Admissions Officer, University of Port Harcourt, Choba, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
    4.  Suceessfull candidates will later be shortlisted. 

      NOTE: University of Portharcourt is know for releasing of Admission list batch by batch, so candidates who meet up with UNIPORT POST  UTME cutoff and  do not see their names in the 1st bacth admission list should not loose hope yet but wait for 2nd batch and probably supplimentry list


        When will UNIPORT POST  UTME/Direct Entry  form be out?

         UNIPORT usually commence sales of POST UTME Form by July, and latest by August of every year if there is no official delay like strike and the likes. 


        What is UNIPORT Cutoff Mark? 

        The Uniport Minimum Cutoff mark is always 180, but be aware the cutoff mark is subject to change anytime.


        UNIPORT Admission Requirements 

        The requirements to gain admission into all courses offered in UNIPORT are as follows: 

        FOR UTME Candidates: Your are require to possess O'level Result (NECO, WAEC or NABTEB) with Fiver Credit at not more than two sitttings.You can check JAMB Brochure for sprecial requiremet for yoour courses of choice. 

        FOR Direct Entry: Direct Entry Candidates applying to UNIPORT are required A’level/Diploma/NCE/JUPEB/IJMB and Degree), showing the pass level and points, also five O'level revevant subjects. You can also check JAMB Brochure for sprecial requiremet for yoour courses of choice. 

        Does UNIPORT Accept IJMBE? 

        Yes, University of Portharcourt accept IJMBE with good grade for Direct Entry Admission into various courses offered by the institution.

        3. You may have to obtain JAMB changing of institution/course form and change Uniport to first choice before you can be considered for admission by the institution
